I WAS TAKING PICTURES AND THEN MY BATTERY DIED
Katerina Dobroslava - Philipp Renda
Eröffnung: 4. Februar 2016, 19 Uhr

Ausstellungsdauer: 5. - 27. Februar 2016

In the exhibition I was taking pictures and then my battery died the two artists Katerina Dobroslava and Philipp Renda are dealing with recording of memories. Contrary to the tiltle both are not interested in the medium of photography, but visualize their visions by drawing them. For the artists the point of interest lies in capturing the moment of an illusion - exploring the boundaries between memory and recording and how these interact.

Katerina Dobroslava: How fragile is our memory? How important is a record for our memory and how stable is the record? Philipp Renda: Die unbestimmte Angst eine Erinnerung zu verlieren - die Ungewissheit, was man schon vergessen hat. Ich suche nach dem Moment, an dem Erinnerungen zu Anekdoten werden und Momente zu Geschichten.
